I was looking for a late lunch and got to Wilma's past closing time. She saw me try to open the door and even though she had been closed for over 10 minutes invited me to come on in and eat. Best ham and cheese sandwich, and she talked to me most of the time. The table I sat at felt like a kitchen table. She convinced me to get the strawberry shortcake to go and the whole meal was under $10. and the hospitality was the best. Going back tomorrow with my coworker for lunch. Wilma, her ham and cheese, and her Kentucky hospitality was the highlight of my day. Highly recommend!
Wilma is a wonderful lady!! Great service very comfortable and homey! Also would like to say I had forgotten my purse at her restaurant from out of town, without hesitation Wilma reached out to me and mailed my purse home to me!! She is a rare kind soul! We love Wilma’s restaurant!
I had the breakfast buffet, best biscuits in Kentucky. Also, the fried apples… Dang! It is like stepping into grandmas kitchen. Got a pie to go, two people for breakfast Buffett and it only cost $30… seriously, you ain’t getting McGarbage for that price.
This is a very honest home kitchen. Wilma is an absolute sweetheart and was so kind and attentive to our large family. We are visiting from out of town and are so glad we found this gem. A great homemade meal full of flavors with huge portions started our day right.
Stumbled upon this gem when passing through. Do yourself a favor and go in to see Ms Wilma! Hands down the best meal I’ve eaten in years! Oh my goodness. This place actually made me tear up and brought chills to me because it was just like sitting in my mawmaws kitchen when I was growing up eating breakfast. This lady is a hidden gem!! You want good southern home cooking, definitely go here for Saturday breakfast buffet!! Taste like your Granny's food and has that sitting in the kitchen feeling back in the old days!! I love it!!
Let me be very clear after reading all of the lies on the review. I have eat here sense I was a kid and she has the best food. I love it and her pies are amazing and they are made with a sugar substitute. Come see for your self the place is a bit dark but so good.
Loved this small town restaurant. Meeting the owner is one of the best ways to start your Sunday morning. Wilma is a sweet, down home cooking, lady that was very welcoming to all 6 of us travels. Wish we had more places like this around the world❤️
We were in town sadly for a funeral. Over the years loss has been hard.. but wow! Stopped in here for breakfast and it was exactly the way my mom and grandma would have made it. This place is authentic KY food made with love. I love that it's in a made by hand, in front of you, from a converted home. Also the prices are the cheapest I've ever seen, she truly could charge more. Loved it that much! Whenever we pass back through will stop here! Thank you!
